When in Cebu: CEBU SAFARI AND ADVENTURE PARK

Finally! A ZOO worth going to in CEBU...

Last March (this is a super late post), my family and I decided to try out the newly opened (soft opening) Safari. I personally wanted to go, because animals have a special place in my heart.

When we were there in March, The entrance fee was about PHP 700.00 and children below 3 feet was charged half the price, Entrance fee includes a buffet lunch in any of their 3 open restaurants. You also had to reserve your slot (no walk-ins) by calling their hotline. But as of their opening date, a lot has changed, you can check out their website here.

It really was a fun-filled day. Though a lot of their habitats weren't open, like the Lion enclosure... It was still fun.

Singapore : Touchdown

Don't you just love my pink bag?
It's finally D-Day!!!

Travelling from Mactan International Airport in Cebu at 7:55 pm, we arrived at Changi International Airport at 11:35 pm. But it seemed a little longer. It was my friend's first time to travel overseas so there was a little hitch-up in the immigration part of the trip, but "all's well that ends well."

On a side note: Changi airport was a behemoth of a place. I've read so many good things about it that it actually was part of the list of places I wanted to see in Singapore. Anyways, back to my narration...

Now, I was a bit anxious about getting there that late because it was our first time in Singapore, I had no idea what to expect but all the anxiety was unnecessary. We took a taxi from the airport to Beach Rd which cost around S$32, the hostel was very easy to locate (with the help of the GPS the cab driver had) and the first thing we got to see of the city were all the lights... and it was beautiful. Once we checked-in and settled all our things in

5th Cebu City Korea Day

Annyeong ha seo! Welcome to the 5th Cebu City Korea Day!

A little FYI, if you're one of the people scratching their heads, having no idea what it is about, it's basically like a Korea-Cebu friendship day. Every year (since 5 years ago), the Cebu Korean Association (CKS) and the Cebu City Government put up this festival to celebrate the "harmonious and symbiotic" relationship between Cebu and South Korea.

Symbiotic in which Cebu has helped many South Koreans with learning English and even helped them create livelihoods  and with South Korea helping Cebu become an investment hub. You can read more about this in this article.

For this year, the festival kicked off on October 1 and will end on the 8th. Activities include the Korean Culture Exhibit in The Gallery of Ayala Center Cebu. They are

Singapore : The Plan, The Pod and The Pass

I had been planning for this trip for so long. My dad kept putting it off for a while now that I simply decided to go on my own (which he was happy about - go figure). A little summary on the trip: Total days in Singapore is 5 days (6 if you're counting transit back to the Philippines at midnight). I actually would like to go in-depth in the places we went to, so I'll be dividing the posts per day which means a total of around 5-6 posts (I'm actually not sure yet).

Anyways, like I said I have been looking forward to this trip. I actually bought the ticket about a month before my departure date and the thing about it is that I have a really bad

When in CEBU : Plantation Bay

People often ask me what it is about Cebu I love most...
and I always end up saying...

"If I wanted to go on a vacation, I can hop on a cab and do so..."

When I was young, I have always associated vacations with airplanes and passports and going somewhere cold for a very long time. It never really occurred to me that a single day at the beach could mean the same thing.

A week before my first trip (for this year), I got an unexpected call from my best friend (21 years and counting), she wanted to hang out and go on a vacation since she couldn't come with me to ********* (spoiler alert!). Of course I said yes! (let's fast forward to our second day since this is where all the "vacationing" happened).

After a short swim at AMISA (where we were staying - she owns a condo there, which I shall feature on future posts...) We went to The Mactan Newtown, where we had our lunch at a place called mexiMAMA. It was super good!

I had their Honey and Chili Wings which comes with their super yummy Mexican Rice. I had some Guyabano (Soursop) Shake, which I bought next door to go with it.

aBEE Finally Living

Every person that walks this planet will ask themselves this one conundrum...

What is life?

What purpose do I serve? What is the essence of my existence? Why am I here?
Do you not hear yourselves asking the same things I am? Some people may already have their answers and maybe you do too, but for me, I am as confused as the day that question popped into my head.

On the day you were born, you open your eyes to a world full of wonder. Scary, yes! But beautiful nonetheless. You go to school, make friends, graduate... then off to College for your future. After graduating from a degree, you find the best job in the world (one your parents could brag about) and then you live each day the same way you've lived yesterday and the day before that and you know you will do the same thing tomorrow and the days after that. You can meet someone special, you get married, have children, and then grandchildren... and then you die. Isn't that a bit cruel?
